What’s the story behind your name XO?
x.o. is an abbreviation for( unknown origin),representing the shock value of the average person when they hear my music. Or the fact that many people don’t know im talented ,or i may not come across like i am and i shock people sometimes. So its an out of nowhere sense when some one hears me. So I am the unknown origin.

If you could describe your attitude or persona what would you say?
I have an adaptive attitude. It can change under circumstance .My persona is like non other in my opinion ,because of my affiliation. It gives my actions that much more significant.

If you could describe your music in anyway what it be?
My music is a reflection of what i have absorbed in life, meaning knowledge, pain, joy, life lessons.(est.).

How would you describe your childhood? As well into becoming who are today, who inspires you/ pushes you?
.My childhood was very challenging. I moved around a lot and never stayed at one school, but that’s why I’m able too adapt in different environments. Being from D.C. it was an adaption when I moved too maryland. After highschool I moved back too D.C. and it was also an adaption moving back.My mother inspires me because she was strong and my gift is more of a responsobility too me so my push is the hope for progression in all aspects of life. But pushing people in that direction through art.

The song “Life” is a self explanatory song but what exactly does it mean to you?
It means alot too me because writing is how i express how i feel and deal with issues i havent dealt with yet.Im my own therapist

What inspires you to stay true to hip hop? Or to try to break through into a crazy industry?
My affiliations with many underground hip hop artist who have been on the U st. seen in D.C. I have been on the seen actively since i was 17.Remembering what i learned from U st keeps me true too the art.
What other Artist (whether famous or upcoming) have you worked with or wish to work with?
I have worked with Oddisee, Wale, Kokai, and would like too make music with anybody who is tryna make history

Do you feel rapping will be your only career choice?
Rapping is not my only career choice, I also am an actor and writer.

There’ a lot of Rappers in DC trying to break thru as well... What makes your style different?
What makes my style different from everybody else is the fact that i have nothing too prove. People that know me hear my music and know I’ve been through the things i talk about, and have done the things i talk about. I also am affiliated with the people that started the D.C. hip hop scene and im respected all around the area for my art. I just know what I’m doing lyrically.

What advice would you give to another fellow up comer?
Dont sleep, because if you treat it like a responsibility your grind will become second nature like blinking. And you’ll just do it. Do whatever you have too to make it.

What are your goals into becoming a well respected Rapper? Especially for DC and its critics….
My goal is too keep making good music and perfecting my gift. I already have the respect of those that matter so know i just have too take it too the next level.

What is Hip-Hop to you?
.Hip Hop to me is self expression transformed from the past responsibility of our people, which was passing down history through song. The ones who passed down history always yoused song.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
In the next five years i see myself successful in the music business ready too put other people on and on my way in the history books.

Do you come from a musical background?
My mother and Father both attended Howard university and are both musicians, so ive been around music all my life.

What are the affects and effects of being a rapper in DC?
Being a D.C. rapper is kind of cool for anybody that really wants it because now is the time too make history. The competition isn’t like a new York or Cali so if you have real skill its straight too the top thing but its a hard grind too the top.

Some people believe reppin where you’re from shouldn’t be taken seriously, how do you feel about that? And by watch Videos and hearing your songs why do you feel reppin DC is important?
I take it serious because of the significant of what your representing. I was born in Howard university hospital attended D.C. public schools up until junior high. I went too high school in Maryland. Representation where I’m from means activity. I have that trait in me. Representation can get overlooked but you have too be true too your art and who you are.
